About Me

Nicola Coleman
My name is Nicola Coleman and I am an independent civil funeral celebrant, designing and leading bespoke ceremonies across Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

I am based in Yarnfield, near Stone, and have lived in the county all my life. I live with my husband and my much-loved Staffordshire Bull Terrier. For the past 20 years, I have dedicated my life to nursing, mostly as a specialist cancer nurse, looking after patients and their families from diagnosis, through a variety of treatments, and into remission or palliative care. I have recently had cause to look at my own work-life balance and have now made the big decision to step away from the NHS and try to help people in a different way.

My years of experience dealing with people, young and old, from a variety of backgrounds, means I am best placed to offer practical and emotional support to anyone who has experienced a recent bereavement. I consider myself to be caring, down to earth and approachable, with lots of public speaking and creative writing experience. I am a good organiser and, as a self-confessed perfectionist, I know I have the skills to listen, create and present the ceremony you would like.

For your peace of mind, I am professionally trained and registered with the UK Society of Celebrants and I am fully covered by public liability insurance.
